Curt Harler specializes in three areas of writing: turfgrass and environmental issues; ghost writing and white papers for corporations and executive clients; and telecommunications and data networking. He is a full-time freelance with over 20 years of experience as a freelance...on top of his experience running several publications as executive editor or editor. His focus today is to do an accurate, timely job for his publishing and business clients - not to bridge a gap between jobs. He provides fast, accurate, reliable work.

TURF & ENVIRONMENTAL:
With a BS and MS in agriculture, Curt is a highly qualified writer on turfgrass, agronomy, pest control and commercial agriculture. He serves as managing editor of the prestigious TURFGRASS TRENDS. He writes frequently about sports turf (SPORTS TURF) and golf course management (GOLFDOM, GOLF ADVANTAGE). He follows the recycling industry closely and is a regular contributor to RECYCLING TODAY. Curt is well versed in trucks, automotive and heavy equipment and writes often for BODY SHOP BUSINESS and ASA’s AUTO INC.

GHOST WRITING & WHITE PAPERS:
Over 30 executives use Curt to ghost-write articles. Many corporate leaders and others in business do not have the time or inclination to prepare articles themselves. Curt also does technology white papers for major corporations (samples upon request). Your company's executive gets a prestigious byline. Curt does the work.

TELECOM & NETWORKING:
Curt is a well-known expert in telecommunications and data networking. He is the recipient of the 1996 International Communications Association Industry Achievement award for communications writing. He was editor-in-chief of COMMUNICATIONS NEWS for many years and now writes for publications like the ACUTA JOURNAL, AMERICA'S NETWORK, BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS REVIEW, ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR, HOSPITALITY TECHNOLOGY, KIOSK BUSINESS, TOTAL TELECOM and others. Curt is also a popular speaker and moderator at industry seminars and programs.

In addition, he is available to consult on editorial strategy, design, and graphics consulting for start-up publications, corporate journals and brochures, redesigns of publications (either standard size or tabloid). Curt will travel on assignment anywhere in the USA or beyond. He can provide photography for any assignment.

PRICING SERVICES

While I can work within any reasonable budget, my charge for most feature-length articles or white papers is in the $1.00 to $1.25 per word range. You'll find this is the industry norm for professional freelance writers. Of course, if the assignment includes multiple articles or involves a huge number of words, we can negotiate a mutually agreeable rate.

I work with several other reliable, professional writers. Often if I am not available, one of them can take on the assignment. All of those men and women are people I've worked with in the past. I feel comfortable vouching for their reliability.

If you need a job done on short notice, I can handle it. It will cost you more than your boss ever feared -- but it will be done, done well, and done to meet your deadline.
